RULES: 

The Caracas Ibero-American Film Festival will be held from January 28 to 30, 2022, taking into account the following bases: 

1. Works must be submitted to the festival through FilmFreeway, the registration platform proposed by the organization. 

2. The call will be open to Ibero-American films and an international exhibition. The official language of the festival is Spanish. The works can be presented in their language of origin other than the official one, but subtitled to Spanish or English. 

3. The organization of the Festival will be responsible for selecting the films in competition, from all the postulates to each category. The organization will contact the persons responsible for the selected works by digital means, through the email that they must indicate at the time of registration. 

4. The deadline for the shipment of works shall begin on June 1, 2021 and  November 15, 2021. The organization reserves the right to extend the deadline or change the dates, if it is necessary. 

5. The application will be subject to the payment of a non-refundable registration fees. 

6. All winners and nominees will receive a digital certificate ready to print.

7. The best film of the festival, regardless of the category, will receive the "León de Caracas" trophy at the Closing Ceremony.

REGULATION:

1. The theme of the festival is Ibero-American cinema in any of its genres. 

2. The festival consists of several competitive sections: 

-Official Feature Films Section. 

-Official Short Films Section. 

-Official Documentaries Section. 

-Official Student Short Films Section. 

As well as an International Exhibition, without limit as to its date of completion. 

3. All works that are considered within each section by their content or theme may participate in these categories. For the student section it must be accompanied by evidence that the work was done for bachelor's work and approved by the corresponding educational institution. 

FEATURE FIMS: Productions made from 2017 and lasting 60 to 130 minutes, including credits, may participate in this section. 

SHORT FILMS: Productions made from 2017 and less than 40 minutes long, including credits, may participate in this section. 

4. Those responsible for the selected films shall provide the organization of the festival with promotion materials: photos, poster, press dossier, trailer, for the purposes of promoting the Festival on the website and on its social networks. 

5. In case of selection, the organization will contact the persons responsible for the film. 

6. The author or owner shall retain his/her intellectual right and shall be within his competence so much that the works submitted are not subject to any legal liability and that there are no rights to third parties. 

7. The organization reserves the right to modify the prizes. 

8. None of the prizes shall be financially endowed. 

9. Registration implies acceptance of the regulations. Any issue not envisaged in this regulations will be decided by the organization of the festival. In case of doubt, the participants can communicate with the organization through the official email of the event. 

10. The official selection shall have the right to use the corresponding laurel which will be sent to them digitally and will appear on the festival's website, while the winners of each category will receive a digital certificate for printing and will be sent the corresponding laurel, digitally. 

11. The winning feature film fiction will be officially shown on the day of the annual event on its closing date.

REGLAS: 

El Festival Internacional de Cine Iberoamericano de Caracas se celebrará del 28 al 30 de enero de 2022, atendiendo a las siguientes bases: 

1. Las obras deberán ser postuladas al festival a través de FilmFreeway, la plataforma de inscripción propuesta por la organización. 

2. La convocatoria estará abierta a películas iberoamericanas y una muestra internacional. La lengua oficial del festival es el español. Las obras pueden ser presentadas en su lengua de origen distinta a la oficial, pero subtituladas al español o al inglés.

3. La organización del certamen se encargará de seleccionar a las películas en competición, de entre todas las postuladas a cada sección. La organización se pondrá en contacto con los responsables de las obras seleccionadas por vía digital, a través del correo electrónico que deberán señalar al momento de su inscripción. 

4. El plazo para el envío de obras, comenzará el 1 de junio de 2021 y terminará el 15 de noviembre de 2021. La organización se reserva la posibilidad de ampliar el plazo o cambiar las fechas, si lo cree necesario. 

5. La postulación estará sometido al pago de un costo de inscripción no reembolsable. 

6. Las películas ganadoras y nominadas recibirán un certificado digital.

7. La mejor película del Festival recibirá el Trofeo "León de Caracas", en la Ceremonia de Clausura.

REGLAMENTO:

1. La temática del festival es el cine iberoamericano en cualquiera de sus géneros. 

2. El festival consta de varias secciones competitivas: 

-Sección Oficial de Largometrajes. 

-Sección Oficial de Cortometrajes. 

-Sección Oficial de Documentales. 

-Sección Oficial de Cortometraje Estudiantil. 

Así como de una Muestra Internacional, sin limite en cuanto a su fecha de terminación. 

3. Podrán participar en estas categorías todas las obras que por su contenido o su temática sean consideradas dentro de cada sección. Para la sección estudiantil deberá acompañarse de evidencia que la obra fue realizada para trabajo de grado y aprobada por la institución educativa correspondiente. 

LARGOMETRAJES: Podrán participar en esta sección producciones realizadas a partir del año 2017 y que tengan de 60 a 130 minutos de duración, incluidos los créditos. 

CORTOMETRAJES: Podrán participar en esta sección producciones realizadas a partir del año 2017 y que tengan menos de 40 minutos de duración, incluidos los créditos. 

4. Los responsables de las películas seleccionadas deberán facilitar a la organización del festival material publicitario: fotos, póster, dossier de prensa, tráiler, a los fines de la publicidad del evento en la página web y en sus redes sociales. 

5. En caso de selección, la organización se pondrá en contacto con los responsables de las obras. 

6. El autor o propietario mantendrá su derecho intelectual y será de su competencia tanto que las obras presentadas no estén sometidas a ninguna responsabilidad legal como que no existan derechos a terceros. 

7. La organización se reserva el derecho de poder modificar los premios. 

8. Ninguno de los premios tendrá dotación económica. 

9. La inscripción supone la aceptación del reglamento. Cualquier cuestión no prevista en este será resulta por la organización del festival. En caso de duda, los participantes pueden comunicarse con el mismo a través del correo electrónico oficial del evento. 

10. La selección oficial supondrá el derecho a utilizar el laurel correspondiente que le será remitido digitalmente y aparecerán en la página web del festival, mientras que los ganadores de cada categoría recibirán un certificado digital para su impresión y se les remitirá el laurel correspondiente, de forma digital. 

11. La película largometraje ficción ganadora será exhibida oficialmente el día del evento anual en su fecha de clausura.
